Party rooms on Poppo Live: what they are for and when to open your own
A party room is for chatting, making friends and completing platform tasks. It is the live stream that introduces you to the audience.
Before you start
A party room is a live stream with several mic seats, where several people are together at the same time. It is for chatting with friends, playing lucky gifts and completing platform tasks that pay a bonus. And there is a rule about gifts worth knowing from the start.
This guide shows how gifts work inside the room, what each task pays, how to behave in someone else's party, and when it makes sense to open your own.
Gifts in a party room: the same gift to everyone
In a party room, a gift is not split among several people. What you do is send the same gift to everyone in the party.
Inside the room, each thing works in its own way:
- Regular gift: 70% of the value goes to the host who receives it, in points.
- Lucky gift: the host receives between 1% and 4% of the value. Whoever plays it can win coins back, like a bet.
- Gift boxes: anyone in the room can play them.
- Casino games: when someone plays in the room, the host receives only a 1% tip, in points.
The difference between coins, points and diamonds (the currency of the games) is explained in coins, points and diamonds.
What a party room is for
- Chatting: it is a good place to hang out and talk with friends.
- Lucky gifts: it is a good place to play lucky gifts as a group.
- Platform tasks: men and women both have tasks that pay a bonus for staying in a party room.
Crown Seat (women): the hour you earn sitting down
There is a daily task you complete inside other people's rooms, and many hosts never notice it: taking a crown seat in someone else's party room. It shows up in the Rewards panel, on your profile.
The mechanics are simple. You join a room that is running a party, look for a free crown seat and sit there. The time builds up per day, and you do not have to watch the stream: the clock runs while the room is open. The first hour pays 800 points. If you received more than 150,000 points in gifts over the last 7 days, the second hour pays another 800 points.
- You have to claim the reward in the Rewards panel. It is not credited automatically, and forgetting costs you the day.
- If the room closes, the counter stops. The host can leave partway through without warning. When that happens, check your progress and move to another room.
This is not a sum that changes your week: it is 800 points for the first hour, and the withdrawal minimum is 100,000 points, equivalent to $10. That minimum is the same in every region, you can withdraw whenever your balance reaches it, and there is no minimum level required to request a payout (see how to withdraw). Besides, the first hour asks for neither an audience of your own nor gifts received, only presence. For someone starting out, it is the first rung.
For men it works differently
Men earn for staying on the mic for 30 minutes, in a party or a live stream: that is 200 yellow coins. Those who complete 60 minutes and play 5 lucky gifts get another 300.
Yellow coins are the app's coins, the same ones used to send gifts. Being coins, they cannot be withdrawn: only what comes in points can be.
In someone else's party: how to behave
When you join someone else's room, whether for the crown seat or to make friends, you are a guest. A few habits help you leave a good impression:
- Greet people and introduce yourself in one sentence, without interrupting whoever is speaking.
- Respect whoever is hosting and the room's rules. They are the ones running the party.
- Join the conversation. The crown seat only requires presence, but making friends requires taking part: ask questions, comment, laugh along.
- Look after your profile. People who liked you at the party will look you up, and it has to hold up: photo, name and bio in order.
If you stream alone: live first
For anyone streaming alone, the order is the opposite of what seems natural: go live first, to show yourself, and join other people's parties to make friends.
- Start with your live stream. That is where people get to know you and decide to come back.
- Use other people's parties to make friends. You show up in front of new people and meet people you could invite to a PK with friends, which is done by invitation.
- Open your own party only once you have a group. Then it can be worth opening one now and then, without ever neglecting your live stream: a closed live stream does not hit the target.
On how that fits with schedules and targets, see how it works.
The most expensive mistake
It is swapping the live stream for the party. The party is good for chatting, playing lucky gifts and completing tasks, but it is the live stream that introduces the host to the audience.
What matters is not how many people are at the party, but how many come back to your live stream afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
How do you send a gift to several people in a party room?
A gift is not split among several people. What you do is send the same gift to everyone in the party.
What is a party room for?
For chatting with friends and playing lucky gifts. In addition, men and women both have platform tasks that pay a bonus for staying in a party room.
How much does Crown Seat pay?
For women, the first hour pays 800 points. If you received more than 150,000 points in gifts over the last 7 days, the second hour pays another 800. For men the task is different: they earn 200 yellow coins for 30 minutes on the mic, in a party or live stream, and another 300 if they complete 60 minutes and play 5 lucky gifts. Yellow coins cannot be withdrawn; only points can.
What happens if the room closes during Crown Seat?
The counter stops. The host can leave partway through without warning; check your progress in the Rewards panel and move to another room.
Are Crown Seat points enough to withdraw?
You can withdraw whenever the balance reaches 100,000 points, equivalent to $10, and the minimum is the same in every region. There is no minimum level required to request a payout. Since the first hour pays 800 points, Crown Seat works better as a complement than as a main source of income.
Should I open a party if I stream alone?
Go live first to show yourself, and join other people's parties to make friends. Only once you have your own group can it be worth opening a party now and then, without ever neglecting your live streams.
